Fieldwork in Russia, part two: the Russian Far East...complete!

In July 2013, DOB team members François Lutzoni, Jolanta Miadlikowska, and Betsy Arnold traveled to the Russian Far East to complete the Eurasian component of our boreal fieldwork. With assistance from Dr. Mikhail Zhurbenko, the team at Zapovednik Bolshekhekhtsirsky near Khabarovsk (especially Rimma Adronov), and the group at Durminskoye Reserve at the foot of the Sinkhote-Alin Mountains, we were successful in collecting diverse plants and lichens from the boreal biome.
